Swizzle sticks, balsa, ink (stamped), varnish, 2009

Paul Butler's project Reverse Pedagogy in its second incarnation, which involved a fleet of canoes at the 2009 Venice Biennial, inspired these hand-carved swizzle sticks. Dean Baldwin's Minibar (and his other work on the theme) and Theo Sims' Candahar bar too I suppose.

Paul and friends made it to Venice, with canoes. Unfortunately, the swizzle sticks did not.
